Business Banking Relationship Liaison Team Leader II

Responsible for the coaching, motivation and development of Relationship Liaisons (RLs) to effect performance improvement and drive KPI results. Provide leadership and operational expertise to RL team and partners (including RM's, TL's & Regionals). Facilitate adherence to Banks policies and procedures and mitigate risk while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsible for achieving Business Banking Key Priorities and objectives.
Responsible for the planning, leadership, problem resolution, analysis and reporting for assigned RL team. Inspect, manage and coach RL team to drive improvement in Key Performance Indicators.
Management of the RL team, ensuring staffing needs are maintained to allow for efficient and exceptional service.
Provide training and specific plans that promote empowerment and critical thinking to individual RL's.
Review and recommend new methods and procedures to make daily operations and customer service more efficient, and improve the customer experience. Provide recommendations for department policy changes and create/enhance new RL policy and procedures.
Provide input to tactical planning and short-term initiatives.
Responsible for the oversight and management of the RL team regarding regulatory, policy & procedural compliance. Support credit and operational risk management and audit directives. Identify, address and escalate all risk scenarios. Responsible for risk and audit findings associated with team.
Oversight of all training and development of RL Team. Interview prospective employees and make recommendations for hire.
Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
Initiate, manage and facilitate process improvement & implementation of initiatives. Participate in projects at the business line level.
Coach and assist with managing partners' support of Business Banking. Research and resolve complex internal and external customer issues. Provide empowerment and support to RL team to resolve difficult internal and external customer problems.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Functional business expert with extension knowledge of business, process regulations and appropriate technology.
Recommend and facilitate process improvements and act as agents for change within Business Banking and Bank Wide.
Supervise, motivate and coach performance of RL team and consistently produce excellent results. Initiate recommendations concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions and terminations.
Build bench strength within the RL Team, attract and retain excellent talent. Continuously evaluate staffing levels and make appropriate recommendations.
Independently work under minimal supervision and make autonomous decisions, applying discretion and experience to determine when escalation is needed to resolve problems and address risk.
Use Precision Leadership principles to provide clear objectives, consistently support employee engagement and development.
Continue leadership and communication regarding risk management and operational excellence.
Continue to promote superior customer service with your teams while optimizes our business opportunities.
Effective interaction and leadership with internal and external partners.
Consistent & effective Sales Support to Regional and Sales Team Leaders.
Directly responsible for a team of RL's (8 ).
Inspection and monitor work flow and serve as liaison between RL team and management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience and minimum of 4 years operations and customer service experience including 2 years supervisory experience to include coaching/mentoring experience or in lieu of a degree a combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or work experience to include a minimum of 4 years operations and customer service experience including 2 years supervisory experience to include coaching/mentoring experience.
Ability to travel. Office location can be determined.
Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
Experience with Microsoft office products.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
